A bit of explanation: I'm no slouch in the kitchen, but the one bit of naughty comfort food I just can't give up or replace is Mac and Cheese from the famous blue box. Ever since we relocated to Switzerland, I've hoarded the occasional box of Mac and Cheese that shows up in the mail to be broken out in case of emergency, hangover, or home-sickness. Mmmmm!

Leap

Blanket

Watercolor and ink. The original doesn't have a border, however when scanned, the colors lost some of their subtlety and I had to add one to keep the painting from falling off the page. Ah well.

Stitch

I have a "stitch" squid coming as well, but thought I would go with the shrimp this time. I think he's knitting a scarf... I don't know who he is looking at outside of the picture...

100 Percent

I was 100% out of ideas on this one, so I went with another squid. 100% goofy. You may notice the bubbles are shaped vaguely like a 100...

Little Things!

When I was little, my best friend and I used to love going to the creek and catching minnows. I used to wonder what went through their heads as they swam circles in their jar.

Also in keeping with the theme, this painting is the size of an average postcard. Little thing!

Excess

I was feeding the birds earlier this week and a small pigeon tried to fly off with an entire piece of bread.

Pigeons know no moderation!

The bread was so large the bird could barely get off the ground, which struck me as a fun example of excess.
